Analytical results from the
groundwater samples were non-detect for all constituents analyzed, except for 170
micrograms per liter of total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel in MW-3.
The report recommends reviewing the site for closure following three more quarters of
groundwater monitoring and sampling, and discontinuing sampling of the domestic wells.
SJC/EHD agrees with the first recommendation, but not the second. As this was the first
quarter that both domestic wells were sampled from proper sample ports installed at each
well head, a confirmation round of samples must be collected and analyzed from each. If
the analytical results confirm the non-detect results, then sampling of the two domestic
wells can be discontinued.
In the future, please be sure to include in the Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring and
Sampling Reports all historical groundwater monitoring data in cumulative data tables.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at(209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS MargarefLagorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
John Lynch, Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
