Genstar/Westem Stone Products
8181 West Eleventh St.,Tracy,CA
Project No.W0195.00
Page 2
The property is, for the most part, level with no nearby surface waterways (Figure 1). The lot
encompasses approximately 56,000 square feet of which approximately 45,000 feet are available
for discharge (Figure 2). If the water in the Baker tank was sprinkled evenly over the surface
of the site, less than one inch of water would be released over the area. Assuming the
absorptive capacity of the silty/clayey soils that underlie the site to be 25%, and assuming the
current moisture content is 75% of this capacity, then the depth of penetration of the discharged
water is estimated to be less than one foot. Since the depth to groundwater beneath the site is
approximately eight feet, it appears unlikely that surface discharge of the Baker tank water
would degrade groundwater in any way.
On behalf of Western Stone Products we request your permission to dispose of the stored
remediated water on site. Discharge to the ground surface is proposed as the most cost effective
option.
If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me at (209) 838-3507.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries, Inc.
Marcie R.
