E
Additional Site Investigation Report
Western Slone Products-Tracy,CA
Project No.W0195.01
! Pnge 3
No groundwater impact currently exists at the site. Benzene and TPHD have not been detected
in the groundwater since May 22, 1990, and were detected on that occasion only and only in
well MW4 (Table 4). During nine subsequent rounds of quarterly sampling of MW4 no analytes
were detected in excess of primary or secondary MCLs.
Given the fact that MW4 was located downgradient of the former tank and within the area of
soil contamination (since excavated and removed) we must conclude that the greatly diminished
volume of remaining soil contamination poses no threat to water quality.
Based upon this information, and on behalf of Western Stone Products, RESNA does not
recommend removal of the soils and proposes closure of the soil and groundwater investigation
at the site.
If you have questions or concerns call Greg Stahl or myself at (209) 838-3507.
Respectfully,
RESNA Industries, Inc.
Lois rantz
Geologist
Gregory P.
