The Assessor's Parcel Number
Fis APN 105-220-01. The property is approximately 10 acres in size.
F, You have requested that our office conduct a deep and shallow percolation test on the site. These
borings were drilled at the requested locations indicated on the tentative parcel map, based on your
conceptual plans for the site of the proposed septic system disposal area.
The drilling of the shallow and deep soil boring was conducted on September 14, 2006 using a truck
mounted deep rock auger rig. The soil log is shown in the following table.
Soil Boring Lo
Depth Interval(ft) Soil Type Unified Soil Classification
F, 0-5 Dark brown sandy silt SM
5-15 Dark brown silty clay with some sand CL,
15-20 Brown sandy silt with some cla SM
t-y Note:Conditions were comparable in the shallow boring
The 20 foot deep boring and three foot shallow boring on the parcel were used for the percolation
tests. Within the boring, about an inch of"pea gravel"was placed in the bottom of the hole to
stabilize the side wall from caving and prevent erosion while filling the boring. A 2-inch diameter
PVC pipe with open ends and slots was placed in the hole. About 6-inches of pea gravel was placed
' in the annular space around the pipe. The hole was pre-soaked 24 hours prior to the test with 12
inches of water above the bottom of the hole. Presoaking of the percolation test hole occurred
1 LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO ■ RENO
a.
