R
An employee o}i'ned compony 1- 3 3
File No. 20-4370-01:G0199 k' - p t t m I 1 j
September 3, 1999
Mr. George TeVelde
I 2107 Ladd Road
Modesto, CA 95356
Subject: REPORT OF PERCOLATION TESTING
` PROPOSED DAIRY
27815 E. DODDS ROAD
ESCALON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. TeVelde:
As requested, on August 31, 1999, personnel of our firm drilled and set-up three percolation test
holes on the subject project site. The approximate locations at which the percolation tests were
performed are indicated on Plate A-1 included with this report. Our services were provided as
outlined in our proposal dated August 27, 1999 and with your written authorization of August
27, 1999.
P The percolation test holes were drilled with a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 6-inch
diameter, continuous-flight augers. The test holes were drilled to depths of approximately 3, 11,
and 15 feet below existing ground surface. A log of the soils encountered in the 15-foot deep test
' hole is included as Plate A-4. The soils were classified according to the Unified Soil
Classification System which is described on Plate A-2; a key to the Log of Boring is presented
on Plate A-3. A small amount of gravel was placed in the bottom of each test hole, the test holes
were cased with slotted PVC pipe, and the test holes were partially filled with relatively-clean
water and left to soak overnight.
On September 1, 1999, a representative of our firm returned to the site to perform the percolation
tests per San Joaquin County guidelines. The tests were performed for four hours, and the last
thirty minutes of each test were used to calculate the percolation rates indicated in the following
table, The County approved percolation field test sheets are included with this report.
PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS
...'.'Test NumberDepth (Feet) Percolation Bate(miiinutes per inch)
P-1 31/z 120
P-2 15 10
P-3 11 20
20-4370-0LG01/2019L811 September 3, 1999
© 1999 Kleinfelder,Inc.
