i 5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION: ! . 5.1 Site map showing location, with dimensions, of the soil profile pit on the parcel: See Appendix. 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test holes were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42inches and 8 inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel." �1- is 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Hollenbeck Silty Clay as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Hollenbeck Silty Clay permeability is slow thus; percolation rates were 31 min/in and 16 min/in. (See Appendix). 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site Map Showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each Parcel: Three shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each proposed parcel. 6.3 Description of the Date, Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole, Including ' Depth and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak (Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Alex Colla of Dillon&Murphy on June 18, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. On June 26, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel. 6.4 Description of the Date, Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak Period (Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry, Depth to Water Remaining in Hole,Etc.): On June 27, 2007 at 8:00 a.m, the two shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS Verification Signature.
