The purpose
of our visits was to obtain information regarding existing
septic systems and wells. The site and surrounding area
is primarily farmed with some pasture.
None of the six residences visited reported having problems
with their septic systems. At location 2 , shown on Plate
I , the owners informed us that sump pits of 5 to 6 feet
deep were required to get through surface clays and into
sandy loam. The septic systems at the residences visited
were reported to be from 1 to 30 years old. Almost all of
the residences visited reported "hard" water conditions.
Most used water softeners to treat their water for domestic
use and one used bottled water for drinking.
ITEM C-2 •
"Suitability of soil for development utilizing septic systems. "
Reference is made to our percolation test report dated
March 15 , 1990, for which we performed 1 percolation test
at each of the four parcels. The tests were performed per
San Joaquin County guidelines and produced percolation
rates of 20 to 48 minutes per inch at depths of
2
