The soil profile and percolation test holes were
drilled with a truck mounted drill rig using continuous-flight
augers . Continuous logs of the soils encountered in the soil
profile holes were maintained by our representative and are
presented on the Logs of Borings, Plates II and III . All soils
have been classified according to the Unified Soil Classification
System which is presented on Plate I .
The percolation test holes were filled with water on March 7, 1990
and left to soak overnight . A representative of our firm returned
to the site on March 8, 1990 and performed the percolation tests
per San Joaquin County guidelines . The tests were performed for
periods of from 30 minutes to 4 hours, and the last 30 minutes of
each test were used to calculate the percolation rates . Table I
of this report presents a summary of the percolation test results .
The county approved percolation field test sheets are included with
this letter.
