The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the <br /> construction plans before submittal to the Community Development <br /> Department for a building permit: <br /> a. Fire flow will be provided for proposed buildings by the use of: <br /> 1, ) Appendix 111-A of the Uniform Fire Code (public water mains) . <br /> 2 . ) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code (static water supply) . <br /> 3 . ) County Fire Chiefs Standard enclosed. <br /> b. Fire hydrants shall be supplied in accordance with Appendix III-B <br /> of the Uniform Fire Code. <br /> c. Fire sprinkler -. systems shall be installed according to Article 10 <br /> of the California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and <br /> guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and <br /> the California Electrical Code. <br /> d. All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire <br /> sprinkler systems and water-flow switches shall be monitored in <br /> accordance with 904. 3 .1 of the California Fire Code. <br /> x e. Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section <br /> 942 . 2 of the California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the <br /> San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. <br /> f. Fire department access to buildings shall be in accordance with <br /> 902 . 4 Key Boxes: A knox box shall be installed according to fire <br /> department instructions. <br /> X g. Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California <br /> Y Fire Code, Volume 2 , Standard 10-1. <br /> h. Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct <br /> operations hazardous to life or property. C. F. C. 105 .2 . 1. <br /> A- i.
