Attempts were made to locate the percolation tests in areas not
subject to construction equipment or other traffic than would have compacted the underlying
soils. Anticipating a relatively-shallow groundwater deprh the percolation tests were excavated
to the depths of
l? approximately 24 inches. the percolation tests wire sec up on Monday,
November 30, pre-soaked, and the actual tests perfonned on December 1, 1998. After a test
period of four hours, all four percolation tests indicated a pert olation rate of 60 minutes per inch
with a head maintained at 12 niches. In the same vicinity, a 10-foot monitoring well was also
completed on December 2, 1998, for the purposes of measuring groundwater table and obtaining
a groundwater sample for atualysis. The depth of groundwater was measured at S feet 4 inches
and a water samples was taken and transported to Sequoia Analytical in Sacramento on the same
day.
The analytical test results. tivhich are attached- indicate very low values of nitrate as N of 1.05
milligrams per liter (mg,/1) and nitrate as NOS of 4.66 mg/1. The limits for these constituents are
10 mg/1 for nitrate as N.and 45 mg/1 for nitrate as NO,.
20-1096.1Sf2U181..996 Page i oft
Copyright (998 KlcintiNder,Inc. 1)arember4,1998
KLEINFELDF.R 2825 Eau Myrtle Streot,Srockron,CA '15205-4794 (2091948-1345 12M 948-0621 fax
