E
INITIAL .STUDY
(CONT I D)
IIP-92-29
l.b. The operation of the retail fertilizer sales facility will be
subject to the rules and regulations of the Regional Water
Quality Control Board. Adherence to the Board's regulations
will allow the facility to receive a Waiver of Waste Discharge
Requirements. The Board's regulations require the pond to be
lined and cover the handling of fertilizers on the property.
l.c. The proposed facility will make use of existing buildings and
only construct a liquid storage tank facility. That area will
be located on an impervious surface and surrounded by a
concrete walled containment berm. All storm runoff will be
retained on the site making use of two existing retention
ponds and a system of catch basins. There will, therefore, be
no increase in flows off the site.
1.d. There will be no significant new construction associated with
this project. The only construction that will take place will
be minor and located away from Lone Tree Creek; thereby
minimizing the potential for erosion to or sedimentation of
Lone Tree Creek.
3 .a. & b. According to the Natural Diversity Data Base, there are
no threatened or endangered species of plants or animals on
this site. Nor is it known to contain habitat that will
support such species.
Initial study (Rev:01/91)
10
