6.2 DISCRETE SAMPLES
The laboratory analytical results indicate the organophosphorus pesticides azinphos-methyl, bolster,
chlorpyrifos, coumaphos, demeton, diazinon, dimethoate, disulfoton, ethoprop, ethyl parathion, famphur,
fensulfothion, fenthion, merphos, methyl parathion, mevinphos, O,O,Ozriethylphosphorothioate,
tetrachlorvinphos, thionazin, tokuthion, and thrichloronate were detected in at least one of the discrete soil
samples analyzed for these constituents. The concentrations of bolstar, chlorpyrifos, demeton, diazinon,
dimethoate, disulfoton, ethyl parathion, famphur, fensulfothion, mevinphos, tetrachlorvinphos, and
tokuthion detected in the discrete samples are below the laboratory reporting limits and are estimated
concentrations. Ethoprop was detected at concentrations as high as 15 micrograms per kilogram (Mg/kg),
fenthion at 30 µg/kg, merphos at I I Itg/kg, methyl parathion at 19 Itg/kg, 0,0,0-triethylphosphororthioate
at 12 µg/kg, thionazin at 12 gWkg, and trichloronate at 30 gg/kg. Azinphos-methyl, coumaphos, and
dimethoate were detected at reportable levels in the method blank. Laboratory analytical results of the
discrete samples are summarized in Table 2, on page 6. Laboratory report sheets indicating analytical
methods used, detection limits, and the results of the analyses are included in Appendix A.
