4. y <br /> I <br /> is important to note that all septic systems have a lifespan. This lifespan is dependant on several <br /> factors and is therefore difficult to determine. A 50% replacement area has been designated within <br /> the disposal area boundaries, ultimately to be determined after orientation of the primary field. <br /> As described above in Section III B, another source of nitrate loading can be from lawns/ <br /> landscaping/gardens. It is recommended to use "slow-release" nitrogen fertilizers, if any, to reduce <br /> f nitrate loading from these areas. As referenced, after domestic well installation, the water should be <br /> tested for nitrate. Depending upon the test results, there may be sufficient nitrogen in the water so <br /> that no additional nitrogen fertilizers are needed. <br /> C <br /> V.
