Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the
state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a
level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA).
Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project
applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide
alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP.
SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0400543 (MS). This project involves subdividing a
182 acre parcel into four parcels. Parcel one will contain 62 acres while parcels two, three and
four will contain 40 acres. The project is located north of Harney Road and east of Highway 88;
east of Lodi.
Any future structure(s) will require the conversion of Natural and Agriculture habitats and as
such should condition the project applicant(s) to participate in the SJMSCP.
The project is located within the unmapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the
SJMSCP those projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory
Committee(TAC) prior to participation.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at (209) 468-3913.
t
