Analysis <br />Background <br />On August 2, 2001, the Planning Commission approved Use Permit No. UP -01-8 for a winery with a <br />production capacity of approximately 20,000 gallons of wine annually (Use Type: Agricuttural Processing - <br />Food Manufacturing). The approval included the construction of a 4,000 -square -foot building for production <br />and storage of wine and the conversion of a 2,778 -square -foot single-family residence into an office and <br />hospitality room. Since the approval of UP -01-0,. a winery ordinance has been adopted (Chapter 9-1075). <br />The ordinance categorizes wineries into either a Boutique, Small, Medium, or Large winery based on the. <br />amount of wine produced annually. As a result, the project is now considered a Small Winery..
