Weber Avenue,Third.Floor Stockton, CA 95202-2708 PROPOSED CROMYOLICS.FACI'LITY, CLEMENTS,SAN,WA¢UIN COUNTY Staff are in receipt of a recent,Report of Waste Discharge(RWD)for the proposed Chocoholics fatality in Clements and will review this RWD for completeness within the next few weeks. We understand that the applicant proposes to discharge food processing wastewater to a septic tank and cooling water to an undisclosed location, Food processing wastewater typically contains high concentrations of DOD and TDS, and it is unknown at this time whether the proposed discharge of Chocoholic wastewater directly to a septic tank, without any treatment,will be protective of water quality. Tt is anticipated that stafT will � need to prepare WIRs for both the food processing wastewater and cooling water discharge, Before we can do so,the applicant will need to clearly show that the proposed disposal methods will not cause any degradation of the underlying groundwater. Staff's review of the RWD will focus on this major issue. As discussed,we agree that the County can move forward with its permitting process,contingen ' the fact that the applicant(Mr. Schenone,Jr.)responds to any Regional Board requests t upon far addiadditionalirtfonfnation in a timely maftner and that he comply with any WTMRs issued by the Regional Hoard.
