Nitrate Loading Study, PA-,-2-428 - <br /> Page2 <br /> S. A monitoring program shall be implemented for the proposed Alternative Civil Engineered <br /> Septic System to validate the operation of the system as proposed by your Nitrate Loading <br /> Study. A monitoring program shall include routine quarterly sampling of sewage effluent to <br /> assess efficiency and denitrification process. Quarterly sampling of effluent prior to disposal <br /> I into leach field shall include the following: <br /> (a) B.O.D. (b) T.S.S. (c) T.D.S. (d) C.B.O.D. <br /> 6. Monitoring ports that are described in your chambered system shall be used for testing, <br /> starting 6 months after operation. Testing requirements for sampling this leach bed area <br /> include the following: <br /> (a) Sodium (b)Nitrate (c) TKN (d) TDS (e) FOG fats, oils, and grease <br /> It is the responsibility of Schenone Specialty Foods Company Chocoholics Devine Desserts <br /> facility to employ a state certified lab, obtain, test, and provide results to the EHD for the above <br /> monitoring conditions, and submit this testing in a report to the EHD quarterly. <br /> I received a call from Ms. Wendy Wyels of California Regional Water Quality Control Board on <br /> April 29, 2003. She stated she would draft a letter on May 1, 2003, requesting the applicant to <br /> submit a report of waste discharge addressing the State's requirements. Within this letter, Ms. <br /> Wyels stated she would allow the EHD to sign the grading permit and building permit. During <br /> this conversation, we discussed floor sinks and the type of waste that would be allowed to be <br /> discharged to floor sinks under the Regional Waste Discharge requirements.
