The reason we bought and built homes on Fair-
child Rd. was because i.t very little traffic and was pre-
dominately a safe road where our children could grow up
and play; ride their bikes to neighboring houses, visit .
friends etc. , with out having their lives jepordized. Well
that was definitely marred when the exsisting Sierra Hills
Packing Plant went up because all the semi trucks used Fair-
child Rd. to get back and forth. to Hwy. 99. There have been
numerous times when we have to find safety by going off- the
side of the road because the trucks were using both lanes
to travel on when taking the "S" turns- on Fairchild.
Fairchild road is housing many young families that should
feel safe when they or their children want to . take a walk.
or ride their bikes or just travel in their cars without
the fear of being hurt or killed by a on their way to Sierra
Hills Packing Shed. It is beyond me how the pre-existing
Shed was past by the planning commission without the concern
of the safety of the already existing residents.
This sort of packing shed with the amount of truck traffic_
it creates belongs in an industrial park like the one
in the corner of Fairchild and Hwy-88, or even better yet
down by the Hwy.99 where there is easy access to the Highways
