You cannot imagine the excitement I felt when we <br /> meaning my husband and three children felt when we planned <br /> to move back to Beecher, the cross road on Fairchild. <br /> I had told the children of all the bike rides, walking,jogging <br /> we could do and that if there was one road you could feel <br /> safe on it was Beecher and Fairchild. <br /> Did I ever get the shock of my life the first time the child- <br /> ren and I ventured out. We were walking and two semi trucks <br /> zoomed by us at about 60 miles an hour and just .layed on <br /> their horn. Idid not know quite...where they wanted us to go <br /> because we were already walking on the right side of the road <br /> off the road itself. The second occurance happened when <br /> I was out power walking and again a semi went by and shot up <br /> a rock. Thank goodness for my glasses because it hit the <br /> lens and not my eye. I then begin to inquire where all these <br /> trucks were going. The neighbors told me that they were <br /> going to the packing shed Sierra Hills on Jacktone. I <br /> could not believe that there was such a hughe packing shed <br /> in such a rural area. Above all I could not believe how <br /> dangerous Fairchild had become. <br /> It is bad enough that Sierra Hills is has a plant out here <br /> on prime agricultural land but to let them expand would be <br /> a violation of the safety of the surrounding residents. <br /> It seems a business this big should be located where the <br />
