She felt that the proposed parking facilities were <br /> inadequate. <br /> Rebecca Senderov (12797 E. Fairchild Rd. ) said rural agricultural <br /> areas are for farmers and residences., She felt there would be <br /> expansions of the use and that there would be restrictions placed <br /> on the local operations. <br /> Dave Podesta ^ (13344 Fairchild Rd.) , said he raises cherries. He <br /> was concerned about the possibility of water contamination, noise <br /> and the invasion of privacy to other property owners. <br /> Debbie Davis (4778 N. Jack Tone Rd. } said her property is directly <br /> across from the eXisting. operation.` She said that the farmers from <br /> the area are also in business and should be protected. ' <br /> REBUTTAL: Mr.- Rishwaindreiterated his statements that the project <br /> will not impact the local farmers and residents' with traffic or <br /> noise. He said there are other such facilities in the area: <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED <br /> PLANNING ComisSION DISCUSSION: <br /> Comm. Holly said that evidence had been' 'submitted that there will <br /> not be an increase in the amount of water used on the site or an <br /> increase in . the truck ,:trips. Mr. Chinchiolo is a responsible <br /> operator and will continue to be so. The zoning is appropriate for <br /> the use. The operation is close to the growers. <br /> Comm. Morri said that not all of the produce to be placed in <br /> storage is grown in the area (asparagus) . Much of the fees paid <br /> by such an operation will only offset expenses to the County. The <br /> impact on the ;geople itn ,the area should be considered. He could <br /> not mokeFindings 14 and 15. The project will be. injurious to <br /> adjoining property,. The ,use is not compatible with adjoining land <br /> uses. This is not the proper location for a project of this size. <br /> Comm. Rojas said that economics should be considered when decisions <br /> are made.- . The Commission should try to help. and. encourage industry <br /> to locate.,where - it can _grow. He was . concerned over the truck <br /> traffic. He noted the , availability _ :of x�industrial L land in the <br /> County, <br /> Comm. Jungeblut said he agreed that the Chinchiolo operation should <br /> have a new facility and should be able to expand, but did not feel <br /> that this location would be appropriate.
