r
KL E/NFEL OER 4
spnr rcop:e e.gnc soroxons.
1 INTRODUCTION
This report presents the results of a soil suitability and nitrate loading study performed for the
proposed Shop Building Project for McFadden Construction located at 3855 East Farmington
Road in Stockton, California. The Assessor's Parcel Number for the property is 173-140-03. An
aerial photograph showing the approximate site boundaries is presented on Figure 1. The
purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for additional septic tank
usage. The study was performed in general accordance with the requirements of Section 9-1105
of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code. The following sections include background
information regarding the existing site and the proposed development, past and present uses of
the site, existing septic tank performance and permitting, and the groundwater conditions in the
project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site
conditions encountered during our field exploration are included. Finally, the results of our
percolation tests, nitrate loading calculations, and subsequent conclusions are presented.
We understand the existing vacant site will be developed into a construction shop and staging
site. The shop structure will be about 10,000 square foot, single-story steel structure developed
near the center of the site. Areas around the structure will be mostly paved with parking areas in
the southern area of the site for employees and customers. An on-site septic/leach field/seepage
pit system will provide sewage disposal and will be located in the southeastern area of the
development. Water for domestic and fire use will be provided by the city of Stockton. It should
be noted that the site consists of two parcels but the western parcel will not be developed and is
not considered as part of this study. A map showing the site vicinity is presented on Figure 2. A
site plan showing the approximate location of the septic/leach field/seepage pits is presented on
Figure 3
•
20173772.001A/ST017R57809 Page 1 of 15 April17, 2017
©2017 Kleinfelder www.kleinfelder.com
