F
} 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry
standard protocol. The soil in this area is classified as Rocklin Sandy Loam, San Joaquin Sandy Loam,,,-
and
oam,and San Joaquin Complex as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United
States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soils classified as
San Joaquin Sandy Loam, and San Joaquin Complex in this area have a permeability that is very slow.
The soil classified as Rocklin Sandy Loam in this area has a moderate permeability. The percolation
rate was between 23 to 42 min/in. (See Appendix).
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
F6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test
holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 T ' um number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each

pare e . ours llow percolation test holes were prepared.
6.3 Description of the date time and protocol used to prepare the test hole including
P P P P g
depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak
F. (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches
in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards.
The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon& Murphy on May 31, 2011 at
F7:00 a.m. On June 1, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were
filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time.
F6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period
(hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak (minimum
12 inches): On June 2, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the four shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water
I was added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow tests passed the
minimum County requirements.
F6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
F. EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading.
