L U \./
LNovember 29,2005
NOA Project Number: E05003B
LMeasurement of the water level during the percolation test was from a fixed reference point on the
PVC casing using an electric well sounder with an depth accuracy of 1/100th foot. All tabulated
values on the field data sheet (appendix) are in decimal feet. After water drop was observed, the
holes were checked for refill. The refill level was approximately 0.5 ft (6 inches) of water above the u
bottom level of the percolation test hole. The readings were taken approximately every 30 minutes
for a period of four hours.
L6.6 Percolation Test Forms and Results
LThe completed percolation test form is included in the appendix of this report.
A shallow percolation test is defined by the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches in depth;a
satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch drop.
One percolation test must demonstrate a satisfactory percolation rate within the proposed septic
system disposal field of each parcel to be suitable for a standard septic system. Details of the
Lpercolation test are summarized in Table 5.
Table 5.
LSummary of Percolation Tests
Test No., Percolation Percolation Rate Test Comment
Date Tested Test Depth(ft) (minutes/inch) Duration (see notes)
P-1 shallow
11-17-05 3.01 6.09 4-ht Satisfactory percolation rate.
L
Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a"shallow"test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch.
L 6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal area of Parcel one demonstrated a satisfactory percolation rate
Lof the soil in accordance with the requirements of the EHD. The soils of this parcel appear to be
suitable for a standard septic system.
L
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
Septic system construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal
` Standards where applicable. No specific recommendations are required for this project.
lr
V
9
"'44L
