CABRAL (C/O ANTONINI ENTERPRISES, INC.) <br /> (FIRST SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT) <br /> IT IS RECOMMENDED: <br /> That the Board of Supervisors: <br /> 1. Adopt a Motion of Intent to Approve General Plan Amendment Application No. GP-99-11 <br /> based upon the "Basis for General Plan Amendment" (Attachment A); <br /> 2. Adopt a Motion of Intent to Approve Zone Reclassification Application No. ZR-00-4 based <br /> upon the"Basis for Zone Reclassification" (Attachment B); and <br /> 3. Approve Use Permit Application No. UP-00-4 with the Findings and Conditions of Approval <br /> contained in the Staff Report. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The applicant has submitted applications for a General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification of a <br /> 40-acre parcel from General Agriculture (A/G and AG-40) to Truck Terminal (I/T and I-T). The <br /> underlying project is a Use Permit for a truck terminal to include parking for 90 trucks, a fueling station, <br /> truck wash, repair shop, and administrative offices. <br /> REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The Planning Commission heard this matter on June 1, 2000. Michael Hakeem, representing the <br /> applicant, spoke in favor of the project. Eleven neighbors spoke in opposition. After considering all <br /> written and oral testimony,the Planning Commission voted 5-0 to recommend that the Board of <br /> Supervisors approve the request. <br /> BOS LETTER PAGE 1 <br />
