The standards pertinent to all development in the Horizontal Zone include,but are not <br /> limited,to the following: <br /> ➢ The use of non-reflective materials,transmissions, and visual distractions to pilots; <br /> ➢ Residential uses are permitted if insulated to reduce interior noise to a level no higher than 45 <br /> dB; <br /> ➢ An avigation easement is recorded in favor of the Airport Operator; and, <br /> ➢ Proposed schools that are to be located within a 2-mile radius of an airport must undergo a <br /> review by Caltrans Division of Aeronautics and the State Department of Education. <br /> In addition,the property owner should be aware of the potential need to file FAA Form 7460- <br /> 1 entitled Notice of Proposed Construction or Alteration. This form can be accessed from <br /> www.faa.p-ov/aEp/ace/faaforms.htin and sent to FAA, P.O.
