The location of the proposed
development is within the area served by sanitary Collection System No. 5. The Municipal
Utilities Department has determined that sufficient capacity exists in this system at this time
to serve the proposed four unit subdivision.
There are additional institutional issues and engineering concerns which affect the ability
of the City to provide sewer service to the proposed project. These issues are as follows:
1. The City may provide new service outside its jurisdictional boundaries only if it first
requests and receives written approval from the Local Agency Formation
Commission of San Joaquin County (LAFCO). LAFCO may require that the
owner/developer apply for annexation to the City as a condition of the City
providing sewer service to the subject site.
The City will request LAFCO approval of this service request upon receipt of the
proper LAFCO processing fee from the applicant. Additional development
information may be needed in order for the City to complete the application process.
You should contact Gunter Konold at the City of Stockton Permit Center, 345 North
El Dorado Street, for specific information regarding this process.
2. The existing sewer main line in Fresno Avenue, ending at Sonora Street, has an
invert depth of only 54-inches. This may not provide enough depth for the proper
design for this point of connection. Special attention should be given to City of
Stockton Standard Drawing No. 46 and No. 63. If the design cannot meet this
standards you will be required to move the point of connection to Del Norte Avenue.
If you have any questions regarding these issues, you can contact Bob Brothers, of
the Public Works Department, at 937-8374.
"WT0gKT0t ..RALJF 0RNIA-Z SLmmimsim OrEAPORT"
