Any environmental documentation should address these adverse impacts. There is no explanation as to how the animals are going to be arriving or leaving the site. How was it determined that the project was not going to generate traffic impacts without this information. What will be the potential impact on a two-lane country road or the traffic impact to Manthey, Lathrop, and Roth Roads? There are also potential impacts as to the time that trucks arrive and leave the site. Since this is a feedlot how long will the pigs stay on site? The manure generated by 500 pigs will be substantial. What is the method of disposal? The information provided is insufficient to be able to properly evaluate the proposed use and its impacts on nearby land. Please provide a notice of the staff determination and staff report for this project and advise us of the County's Development Committee date and time at which they will consider this request. Please be advised that the City of Lathrop has received letters from adjacent property owners requesting that the City of Lathrop oppose the feedlot. City staff will recommend to the City Council that any favorable determination be appealed to the County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors. The recommendation to the City Council of the City of Lathrop will be that this application be vigorously opposed, as it is inappropriate to place feedlot pens where it will be severely detrimental to the City and surrounding property owners.
