Soil Suitability Study 2
November 10 , 1992
Walter E. Curtis
Civil Engineer
C.E. # 11584
418 Matthew Plaza
Lodi , California 95240
San Joaquin County Public Health Service
Environmental Health Division
Subject : Soil Suitability Study for the Margaret Cornelius (Mr . Don
Simonich, subdivider) property consisting of dividing an existing
2 . 16 acre parcel of land into two (2) equal size parcels , Parcel
No . l and Parcel No. 2 . Parcel Nos . 1 and 2 will each contain a net
acreage of 0 . 99 acres .
Submitted for your review and consideration is an abbreviated
soil suitability study consisting of the results of Percolation
tests conducted on the Margaret Cornelius property located at 17010
Front Street , in the city of Linden, in San Joaquin County in the
State Of California. Contact with the San Joaquin County Public
Health Service, Environmental Health Department resolved that a
full soil suitability study is not required and all that is needed
is percolation testing to provide for the planned development of
this property.
F.xisting Land Use : Except for the present homesite and a row of
walnut trees along the west boundary lines of Parcel Nos . 1 and 2
and the south boundary line of Parcel No . 2 , the existing 2 . 16 acre
parcel is undeveloped.
Existing Septic System: Because of the performance of the existing
septic system installed on the subject property and the historical
knowledge and experience with the soils in the general area of
Linden, no study of San Joaquin County permit records was made or
is needed for this proposed development .
WELT, WATER ANALYSIS : Water is to be supplied by the Linden Water
Conservation District ; so no well water analysis is required in the
planned development of this property.
SOIL. PROFILE TEST: No water was encountered in excavating the
Percolation Test Holes to a maximum depth of 34 3/4" . See the
attached "Field Percolation Data Sheet " and " Tentative Parcel Map"
as well as the text of this report for the specific soil layer ,
character , and location details . The San Joaquin County Flood
Control And Water Conservation Map entitled "Lines Of Equal Depth
To Water Wells" dated Fall 1990 shows the water to be in excess of
130 feet below the ground surface.
Ms . Margaret Cornelius (Don Simonich, Subdivider ) MS-92-80
