The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for a building permit. a. The Fire Prevention Division has reviewed this application and there does not appear to be any major problems associated with the proposed project as submitted. A complete review at building permit submittal will require compliance with applicable codes and ordinances. b. Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of: 1.)Appendix III-A and III-B of the California Fire Code. 2.)NFPA 1142 of the National Fire Code. C. Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. d. Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 of the California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. C. This planning application will require a fire access road to be completed before the County Surveyors office will file the map for record. Please contact Linden-Peters Fire District 209-887- 3710 to schedule an inspection of the completed road. f. This project will potentially serve more than three residences and shall comply with the San Joaquin County Development Title, Standard 9-1150.18, Standards for This project Road Names and Road Name Changes, Public and Private. Please contact the Community Development Department at 468-2193 to complete this process prior to requesting Fire Department approval. g. X Key Boxes: A Knox box shall be installed according to the local fire department's instructions. h. X Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, Standard 10-1 of Volume 2. i. X Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations hazardous to life or property C.F.C. 105.2.1 j. Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes(ammonia, etc.). Other: Fire protection system(s)may be required for the commercial cooking appliances/equipment.
