•- - - RECEIVED
San Joaquin Valley MAY 1 6 2005
Air Pollution Control District community Development Dept
May 11, 2005 Reference#: N20050343
Kathy Allen
San Joaquin County
Community Development Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
SUBJECT: PA-0500219 A USE PERMIT APPLICATION TO USE AN EXISTING HAY
BARN AS A DOG KENNEL.
Dear Ms Allen:
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the
proposed project. Based on the information provided, it appears that the proposed
project will have a less-than-significant impact on the ambient air quality. Therefore, a
negative declaration is appropriate from an air quality perspective. However, the District
is concerned with the potential for this project to produce objectionable odors. The
County should ensure that the applicant properly disposes of animal waste materials in
a timely fashion to eliminate this potential.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. If you have any questions, please feel free
to contact me at (209) 557-6400.
Sincerely
cWov--
John CCadreit
Environmental Planner
Northern Region
