MONITORING AND REPORTH-h,—i PROGRAM NO. -2- <br /> GOLDSTONE LAND COMPANY,LLC AND KURT KAUTZ <br /> BEAR CREEK WINERY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> LAND TREATMENT UNIT MONITORING <br /> The Discharger shall monitor the discharge to each land.treatment unit. Monitoring of the land <br /> treatment units shall be conducted daily during operation and the results shall be included in the <br /> monthly monitoring report. Evidence of erosion, field saturation, runoff, or the presence of nuisance <br /> conditions shall be noted in the report. Effluent monitoring data shall be used to calculate loading rates <br /> at the land treatment unit. Land treatment unit monitoring shall include, at a minimum, the following: <br /> Type of Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituent Units Sample Frequency Frequency <br /> Flow to each area gallons Continuous Daily Monthly <br /> Acreage Applied acres Calculated Daily Monthly <br /> Application Rate inches Calculated Daily Monthly <br /> Total Nitrogen Loading Rate lbs/acre° Calculated Monthly Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids Loading Rate lbs/acre" Calculated Monthly Monthly <br /> BODS Loading Rate lbs/acre/day 5 Calculated Monthly Monthly <br /> Continuous monitoring requires daily meter reading or automated data collection. <br /> '- Land treatment units in use shall be identified if a portion of the area is used the acreage shall be estimated. <br /> 3 Total nitrogen applied from all sources,including fertilizers and supply water. <br /> ° Report monthly total and cumulative annual to date. <br /> 5 Report 7-day average and maximum daily loading. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL IRRIGATION WATER <br /> Samples of supplemental irrigation water used to irrigate land treatment units shall be collected prior to <br /> discharge to the land treatment units. Monitoring shall include, at a minimum, the following <br /> Type of Sampling Reporting <br /> Constituents Units Sample Frequency Frequency <br /> Flow gallons Metered Continuous Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/L Grab Annual Annual <br /> Nitrate as Nitrogen mg/L Grab Annual Annual <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Prior to construction and/or sampling of any groundwater monitoring wells, the Discharger shall <br /> submit plans and specifications to the Board for review and approval. Once installed, all new wells <br /> shall be added to the MRP and shall be sampled and analyzed according to the schedule below. All <br /> samples shall be collected using approved EPA methods and water table elevations shall be calculated <br /> and used to determine groundwater gradient and direction of flow. <br /> Prior to sampling, the groundwater elevations shall be measured and the wells shall be purged at least <br /> three well volumes until temperature,pH, and electrical conductivity have stabilized. Depth to <br /> groundwater shall be measured to the nearest 0.01 feet.
