Participation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the <br /> state and federal endangered species acts, and ensures that the impacts arc mitigated below a <br /> level of significance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br /> Although participation in the SJMSCP is voluntary, lead agents should be aware that if project <br /> applicants choose against participating in the SJMSCP, they will be required to provide <br /> alternative mitigation in an amount and kind equal to that provided in the SJMSCP. <br /> SJCOG, Inc. has reviewed application PA-0400232 (SA). This project involves erecting a 120- <br /> foot monopole and installing five radio equipment cabinets. The project site is located north of <br /> Highway 4 and west of Drais Road; cast of Stockton. <br /> This project will require the conversion of Agriculture habitat and as such should condition the <br /> project applicant(s)to participate in the SJMSCP. <br /> The project is located within.the unmapped land use areas and as per the requirements of the <br /> SJMSCP those projects are subject to case-by-case review by the Habitat Technical Advisory <br /> Committee(TAC)prior to participation. <br /> If you have any questions,please give me a call at(209)468-3913, <br />
