[Insert appropriate tentative map name in final map <br /> note.] <br /> 3.2.7 Public Facilities/Open Space <br /> 3.2.7.1 Master Plan Summary <br /> Public safety facilities such as fire and police stations are to be located in or near commercial areas or <br /> adjacent to public parks. Institutional uses such as private and public schools may be sited in commercial, <br /> residential or public areas adjacent to arterial or collector streets. Civic and community buildings will <br /> generally have primary facades which"front"public streets and spaces,and the design of such facilities shall <br /> enhance public access and visibility of such buildings. <br /> 3.2.7.2 Specific Plan III Description <br /> One of the major features of the community plan is a fully integrated open space corridor systerrL Open space — <br /> corridors link the community park, the Neighborhood Parks, schools and play areas through a series of open <br /> space corridor connections. <br /> The two K-8 schools have been located on collector streets separated by the 8.5 acre neighborhood park. <br /> There are two ballfields in the neighborhood park which are located to provide joint use for each school. The <br /> primary school building will be sited to provide the central focus within the school campus. The primary <br /> religious assembly building is located to orient towards De Anza Boulevard and Grant Line Road. <br /> The college component would include a 114.3-acre community college in the southwest portion of the <br /> Specific Plan III site(southwest corner of Neighborhoods A/B)to be named Delta College Center at <br /> Mountain House.At buildout(2025),the college would include 557,000 gross square feet of development, <br /> 4,000 parking spaces, 12,000 students, and 532 faculty and staff. <br /> The 3.9-acre water quality basin, at the southwest comer of Grant Line Road and Central Parkway, is <br /> designed to accommodate the detention needs for the Specific Plan III area.The detention basin will be <br /> designed with an ornamental metal security fence and a controlled access point for maintenance.The edge of <br /> 3-22 Draft 03/14/05 <br /> ................................................................................................................................................................................. <br />
