If <br /> the coroner determines that the remains are those of a Native American, he or she shall <br /> contact the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) by phone within 24 hours of <br /> making that determination (HSC Section 7050[c]). Once a Most Likely Descendent(MLD) <br /> has been designated by the NAHC, the MLD, in consultation with the County, shall determine <br /> the ultimate disposition of the remains. The responsibilities of the County for acting upon <br /> notification of a discovery of Native American human remains are outlined in detail in the <br /> PRC Section 5097.9. Measures likely resulting from the above could include preservation in <br /> place and capping/avoidance, or removal and continued monitoring of ground-disturbing <br /> activities. [MM 4.6-3] <br /> Timing: Note on Improvement Plans and at the time of the find until permission to proceed is <br /> granted by CDD. <br /> FIRE PROTECTION <br /> 42. The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County Ordinance Code requirements will <br /> be applicable and shall be incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the <br /> Community Development Department for a building permit. <br /> a) A complete review at building permit submittal will require compliance with applicable <br /> codes and ordinances. <br /> b) Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of Appendix ill-A <br /> and III-B of the California Fire Code. <br /> c) Any proposed fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the <br /> California Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of <br /> the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. <br /> d) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with Section 902.2 of the California <br /> Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire Chiefs Association. <br /> e) This planning application will require a fire access road to be completed before the County <br /> Surveyor's Office will file the map for record. Please contact Fire Prevention at 209-468- <br /> 3380 to schedule an inspection of the completed road. <br /> f) This project shall comply with the San Joaquin County Development Title Section 9- <br /> 1150.18, Road Naming Procedures. Please contact the Community Development <br /> Department at 468-2193 to complete this process prior to requesting Fire Department <br /> approval. <br /> g) All undeveloped parcels or portions of undeveloped parcels which are created as a result of <br /> this planning application shall remain free of weeds, debris, or any other combustible <br /> vegetation such as abandoned orchards or vineyards throughout the year to the <br /> satisfaction of the Fire Jurisdiction Having Authority.
