ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST
4.4 BioLOGICAL RESOURCES
Mitigation Measures
No additional mitigation measures are required.
k e) Conflict with any local policies or ordinances protecting biological resources, such as
a tree preservation policy or ordinance?
The proposed project would not conflict with any relevant policies or ordinances of the San
Joaquin County General Plan and Development Title with the exception of the Riparian
Habitat Ordinance. This ordinance requires a developer to protect existing riparian habitat
{ (such as the drainage Swale.habitat at the proposed project site)or mitigate for the loss of the
1 habitat. One method of mitigation is to contribute to existing off-site riparian habitat areas
such as the Mountain House Creek corridor. Policies related to protection of other sensitive
biological resources (such as special status species)will be addressed through the applicant's
participation in the SJMSCP. The project would comply with the relevant sections of the
MHMP and Specific Plan III. Pre-construction surveys and compliance with applicable
Incidental Take Minimization Measures of the SJMSCP would be required. Compliance
with these policies would result in less-than-.significant impacts. .
Mitigation.Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
J) Conflict with the provisions of an adopted Habitat Conservation Plan, Natural
Community Conservation Plan or other approved local, regional, or state habitat
conservation plan?
The proposed project would not conflict with any adopted Habitat Conservation Plan,Natural
Community Conservation, or other approved conservation plan. The SJMSCP was adopted
by the County to provide for the long-term management of plant, fish, and wildlife species.
The proposed project is located within land areas covered by the SJMSCP and, as such, the
applicant will participate in the plan and comply with the Incidental Take Minimization
Measures to ensure compliance. There would be no impact related to such plans.
Mitigation Measures
No mitigation measures are required.
SOURCES OF INFORMATION
EDAW, 2005a.
