F,,
F 4
Fi ENVIRONMENTAL CHECKLIST
F This chapter of the Checklist includes a discussion of existing environmental conditions at
the site, potential environmental impacts resulting from implementation of the proposed
project, and applicable mitigation measures, if any. The Environmental Checklist covers
specific issues by topic (i.e., Aesthetics, Geology,Land Use, etc.). Each topic includes the
_y bureaucracy following four sections: (1) Setting; (2) Significant Impacts Identified in the
2005 SPIIIEIR; (3)Mitigation Measures of the 2005 SPIIIEIR Relevant to the Project; and
(4) Discussion Regarding the Proposed Project. The Checklist Questions are shown with a
El solid box denoting the potential level of impact. Under the Discussion,if new impacts are
identified, they are followed by mitigation measures that are labeled and numbered.
Mitigation measures that were adopted by the Mountain House Master Plan Final EIR
(MEIR)and College Park at Mountain House Specific Plan III Final EIR (SPIIIEIR)are
identified along with any additional required mitigations based on the current analysis in this
Checklist. The criteria for significance are also identified, when applicable.
Since this Checklist relies on the SPIIIEIR,the standard Checklist has been modified to
address the consistency between the environmental evaluation prepared for Specific Plan In
and the environmental evaluation for the proposed project. The six Checklist categories
include: (1) Less Than Significant or No Impact, (2)Potentially Significant Impact
Adequately Addressed in SPIIIEIR; (3) SPIIIEIR Requires Additional Review: No
Fj Significant Impact; (4)Less Than Significant Impact Due to Mitigation Measures in Project
Description; (5)New Additional Impact Not Addressed in SPIIIEIR; and(G)New Additional
Mitigation Measures Required.
The "Discussion" follows the checked boxes so that the reader is informed as to why a
Fi
specific box of the Checklist was marked. The discussions identify earlier analyses, the
source of the information for the conclusion reached, and mitigation measures either already
required for'the project or suggested as part of the current analysis to reduce impacts to a
Filess-than-significant level.
The proposed project has been analyzed under each component of the Checklist. It has been
P
determined that the proposed project presents no substantial changes with respect to the
circumstances under which the SPIIIEIR was certified. There are no impacts associated with
the proposed project that were not previously assessed in the SPIIIEIR. There is no new
available information, which was not known at the time the SPIIIEIR was certified, that
requires major revisions of the document. Thus,no additional environmental documentation
is required.
F
MOUNTAIN HOUSE PROPOSED ALTAMONT HEIGHTS TENTATIVE MAP 4-1
