FY
MOUNTAIN HOUS&PROPOSED ALTAMONT HEIGHTS TENTATIVE MAP 4. ENVIRONMENTAL CI-EGxLIST
4.5 CULTURAL RESOURCES
F
c) Directly or indirectly destroy a unique paleontological resource or site or unique
geologic feature?
There are no known paleontological resources or unique geologic features on the project site.
F1If such resources were uncovered during construction, construction would be halted as
required by the MHMP and the County's Development Title. The impact would be less
than significant.
IF Mitigation Measures
F] No mitigation measures are required.
d) Disturb any human remains, including those interred outside offormal cemeteries?
F j There has never been a formal cemetery on the project site. The site has been used for dry
farming in the past. If human remains are found during construction, construction would
immediately halt, and the County coroner would be called. If the coroner determines that the
Fil remains are those of a Native American, a NAHC representative would be contacted to
identify the most likely descendants and determine the ultimate disposition of the remains
Fj and any associated artifacts. The treatment and disposition may require archaeological
excavation and reburial of the human remains. Discovery of human remains is not
anticipated during construction of proposed project. Therefore, the impact of the proposed
Fil development on human remains would be less than significant.
Mitigation Measures
fl] No mitigation measures are required.
SOURCES OF INFORMATION
EDAW, 2005.
