The project includes three double-feed gas pumps for trucks, six double-sided gas pumps
for cars. Six existing buildings will be demolished. The existing coffee stand will remain. The
site anticipates 500 customers and 40 vehicles per shift with two shifts per day. The Department
has the following comments;
• A traffic impact study (TIS) is necessary to determine this proposed project's near-term
and long-term impacts to State facilities — both existing and proposed— and to propose
appropriate mitigation measures. The Department recommends that the study be prepared
in accordance with the Caltrans Guide for the Preparation of Trak Impact Studies,dated
December 2002 (Guide).
• The driveways into the project site must meet standards for STAR trucks.
• It must be determined if grading would divert drainage from this proposed project and
result in increased runoff to existing State facilities. This will not be allowed.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss our comments in more detail, please contact
Nicholas Fung at(209) 948-7190 or myself at(209) 941-1921.
Sincerely,
TOM DUMAS, CHIEF
OFFICE OF METROPOLITAN PLANNING
"Caltrans improves mobility across Califon ia"
