Hieb Family 1990 Trust Prouty Page 3 of 11
Our Project Number: E0714411
December 17, 2007
I
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office
reviewed a recent aerial photograph (12/17/2007) of the subject property available from Google
EarthT"'. We counted the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the
Fiassumption that each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we
determined that there are a minimum of fourteen (14) septic systems per square mile in the
Fiimmediate vicinity of the site.
The general area consists of agricultural land and a few scattered residences.
3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on file review at the EHD, the septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach lines and
seepage pits.
F 3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
' tics stem repairs in the area
Based on file review at the EHD, h the septic y p appear to be for the
addition of leach lines and seepage pits.
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected usage on each proposed parcel would be for a primary residence and
second dwelling unit. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater
Disposal Standards or other engineering recommendations.
k4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Public Works Department, Water Resources Division (Fall 2003 and
Fi Spring 2004) ground water elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels
near the site. The Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 maps are the most current official maps available
from the County. According to these maps (Plates 3 & 4), ground water lies between anF! J
elevation of 20 and 40 feet below sea level and flows at a gradient of about 10 feet per mile to
the southeast in the vicinity of the site.
Table 1.
Ground Water Summary
Site Topographic Elevation .Ground Water Elevation Estimated Depth
(ft. above sea level) (ft. below sea level) to Ground Water(ft. bgs)
Fall 2003: -30 to-40'
60 to 55' 80 to 105'
Spring 2004: -20 to-30'
P
"0104
902 Industrial Way-Lodi,CA 95240.209.367.3701 -Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Nei!O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
