HARNEY LANE <br /> LODI, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: E07202B <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Louise M. Woehl of the Thelma E. Hieb Revocable Trust to <br /> conduct a soil suitability study for the property at 10940 E. Harney Lane, Lodi, California. <br /> The soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 063-180-02. The parcel is approximately <br /> 48.43 acres in size (Plate 1). The county application number is currently pending. The site is <br /> currently planted in vineyard. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, <br /> I ranges between 60 to 65 feet above mean sea level. The land grades down gently to the <br /> �- southwest. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department (www.co.san- <br /> joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel <br /> size of 40 acres.
