PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS. <br /> ON JUNE 19 , 1995 , THE PROJECT SITE WAS TESTED TO DETERMINE THE <br /> PERCOLATION RATE , PARCELS 1 AND 2 WERE TESTED. PARCEL 1 PASSED <br /> THE PERCOLATION TEST WITH A PERCOLATION RATE OF 34 MIN/INCH FOR A <br /> DEPTH OF 3 FEET. PARCEL 2 FAILED THE TEST AT A DEPTH OF 3 FEET. <br /> WE ARE RECOMMENDING TO RETEST THE PERCOLATION TEST FOR PARCEL 2 AT <br /> A DEPTH BETWEEN 3 TO 25 FEET AT THE TIME OF DEVELOPMENT, BECAUSE <br /> IT WOULD .BE DIFFICULT IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIT A DRILLING RIG <br /> BETWEEN THE ROWS OF THE EXISTING GRAPE VINEYARD. PERCOLATION TESTS <br /> WERE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS. <br /> COMMENTS REGARDING EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS: <br /> BASED ON THE INFORMATION GIVEN ON SHEETS 4 AND 5 , THE EXISTING <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEMS IN THE AREA ARE FUNCTIONING WITH NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT <br /> FOR THE REPAIR OF THE SYSTEMS LOCATED ON 12312 AND 12400 N . TULLY <br /> ROAD, AND 16450 E. HARNEY LANE. NO RECORDS OF THE INSTALLATION OF <br /> ORIGINAL SEPTIC SYSTEM FOR THESE PROPERTIES WERE FOUND, AND NO <br /> REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED SINCE THESE REPAIRS. THE EXISTING SEPTIC <br /> SYSTEMS IN THE AREA ARE USING A SEPTIC TANK, SEEPAGE PIT OR PITS , <br /> AND LEACH LINES . SEEPAGE PITS WITH A DEPTH OF 25 FEET WITH A <br /> DIAMETER OF NO LESS THAN 33 INCHES ARE BEING USED FOR THE EXISTING <br /> SYSTEMS. <br /> ENGINEER'S OPINION SOIL SUITABILITY: <br /> FROM THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE PERCOLATION TESTS AND EXISTING <br /> PERMITS FOR THE REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF PRIVATE DISPOSAL <br /> SYSTEMS, THE SEPTIC SYSTEMS FOR THE PROJECT SITE SHOULD CONSIST OF <br /> A 10 , 000 SQUARE FOOT LEACH FIELD AREA WITH THE APPROPRIATE SIZE <br /> SEPTIC TANK FOR PARCEL 1 , AND SEEPAGE PITS AND SEPTIC TANK WITH <br /> THE APPROPRIATE SIZE LEACH FIELD AREA DESIGNED WHEN A PERCOLATION <br /> TEST IS PERFORMED AT THE TIME OF DEVELOPMENT OF PARCEL 2 . PARCEL 1 <br /> HAS AN EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEM FOR THE EXISTING MOBILE HOME. EACH <br /> SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGN FOR THE SOIL CONDITIONS IN THE AREA, AND <br /> THE SIZE OF THE FACILITY TO BE SERVED. SEEPAGE PITS SHOULD HAVE A <br /> MINIMUM DIAMETER OF 33 INCHES, AND SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED TO A <br /> DEPTH OF GREATER THAN 25 FEET <br /> THE GROUNDWATER TABLE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 129 FEET BELOW THE <br /> GROUND SURFACE. THEREFORE, THE GROUNDWATER LEVEL WILL MEET THE TEN <br /> FOOT MINIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEEPAGE PITS AND <br /> THE TOP OF THE GROUNDWATER TABLE . THE SEPTIC SYSTEM SHOULD NOT <br /> ADVERSELY AFFECT THE GROUND WATER TABLE . <br /> IT IS OUR PROFESSIONAL OPINION THAT THE FINDINGS INCLUDED IN THIS <br /> STUDY ARE A REPRESENTATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE PROJECT AREA AT THE <br /> PRESENT TIME. THIS OPINION CANNOT CONSTITUTE A GUARANTEE OR <br /> WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. <br /> SHEET 6 <br />
