May 28, 1999
Dear Sirs,
This letter is in opposition to Mr. J. Rios and his labor
camp. This camp, to be built in the Lockeford area, sounds
to me like it will cause more problems than it will solve. I
understand the camp will contain 400 single men. There are
many inherent problems when you place that many men
together and I don't feel that Mr. Rios has presented
adequate solutions to these problems; such as crime,
prostitution, gambling, drinking, and security, not to mention
the other problems of increased traffic and the sanitation of
the site. I am concerned that Mr. Rios and his backers will
not address these issues. There are many issues concerning
permits and regulations that are being overlooked and I
don't understand how this camp can even be considered for
construction. There are many any other neighborhoods that
have already said 'no' to Mr. Rios and his camp. What
makes this site different from the other sites? Perhaps he
felt there would be less resistance? Mr. Rios definitely needs
to have more answers concerning his camp before it can
even be considered.
The Stugelmeyers
7212 Excaliber Circle
Stockton; Ca. 95210
i '
