DAUWALDER ENGINEERING, INC.
September 13, 2001
AUBREY;MOORE, JR. via FAX: 530-758-4362
AUBREY;MOORE, JR. Architect and Associates
979 F Street, Suite A
Davis, CA 95616
SUBJECT: PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING; ONSITE DOMESTIC WATER AND
WASTEWATER SYSTEMS; ACAMPO
Dear Mr. Moore:
This letter summarizes the basic design criteria for the proposed domestic onsite water
and wastewater systems for the Acampo Project.
PROJECT INFORMATION
Design Population: 400 single men; 400 bedrooms
Site Area: 20 acres
Public Utilities: No public water or wastewater utility service is available
WATER SYSTEM
Descrlpt}on. The proposed onsite domestic water system would consist of:
1. an onsite well;
2. an:onsite ground storage tank;
3. domestic booster pumps through a hydropheumatic tank to the distribution
system; and
4. fire booster pump(s) for hydrant flow and building sprinkler systems.
The capacity of the well will be greater than the average daily demand, about 75 gallons
per minute. The storage tank will supply the peak hour and peak day water supply.
Duplex alternating domestic booster pumps are proposed; with one pump safely
providing the average demand (100 gpm), and both pumps providing the peak hour
demand (200 gpm).
6700 FREEPORT BLVD., SUITE 202 • SACRAMENTO.
