MOUNTAIN HOUSE NEIGHBORHOODS K AND L INITIAL STUDY <br /> 2.SUMMARY <br /> The projected population of Neighborhoods K and L is fi 301 people. Develop- <br /> ment <br /> evelo -ment in Neighborhoods K and L would also produce an estimated 1,564 jobs. <br /> 3. SURROUNDING LAND USES AND SETTING <br /> Currently, land uses surrounding the boundaries of Neighborhoods K and L <br /> include vacant lands under agricultural production for alfalfa, corn, and irrigated <br /> farmland to the west and southwest where Neighborhoods I and J are proposed. <br /> Lands to the east of Neighborhood L are proposed to be developed as part of the <br /> Old River Industrial Park and currently include the wastewater treatment plant <br /> operated by the Mountain House Community Services District. Old River forms <br /> the northern boundary of Neighborhoods K and L. Neighborhoods E, F,and G <br /> (recently completed in the last 10 years) are located south of Neighborhoods K <br /> and L,on the south side of Byron Road The Mountain House Community <br /> Services District(MHCSD)water treatment plant, located at the south end of <br /> Neighborhood I, has been completed and is currently operating to serve existing <br /> neighborhoods within Mountain House. <br /> 4. REQUIRED APPROVALS <br /> The proposed project would require Tentative Subdivision Map approvals from <br /> San Joaquin County. Grading and building permits would also be issued by San <br /> Joaquin County. <br /> Federal,state, regional,and local agencies that may require permits for the <br /> proposed project prior to its construction and/or operation include the following: <br /> ■ Regional Water Quality Control Board(National Pollutant Discharge <br /> Elimination System[NPDES]permit). <br /> ■ San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District(applicable construction- <br /> related permits). <br /> r7) <br /> 5.
