The percolation rate determination for the deep(19.85')percolation test hole,
DPH I, shown on the Percolation Test Details sheet for Parcel 1 as 120 minutes per inch
needs to be revised to 125 minutes per inch. The 125 minutes per inch percolation rate is
based on precise measurements instead of using rounded-off measurements, which the
120 minutes per inch rate is based on.
The section Recommendations on page 7 is to be replaced in its entirety as
follows:
Reeonnnen lations: Mike Huggins,Representative of the San Joaquin Environmental
Health Department has determined that leach fields are acceptable septic system
installations for Parce7s-3—an—dTe—x-c—e—prffi—at—th—e—m—ini—m—u—m—us—aMe—&s-p—osaI areas and the
number of leach lines are to be double the amounts normally installed. Parcels 3 and 4
shall have 16,000 square feet minimum usa a +sposaareas and a number of leach
lines to be constructed are to be double the amount normally installed for the number of
bedrooms planned. Caution should also be exercised in locating the septic systems in the
same places where the shallow percolation tests were conducted on Parcels 3 and 4 as
shown on the Percolation Test Hole Location Map. Also The San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department will need to be consulted to establish the appropriate
elevation of the sewage outlet connection on any future house constructed at any future
time.
Find additional percolation testing needed in a to locate the
appropriate soil for detennmmg a type and location of septic systems to be installed
within Parcel 3 and 4 boundaries in the future.
Also the Minimum Usable Disposal Area(Square Feet) columns on the cover
page of my Soil Suitability Study, dated May 27,2003 as well as under the Test Results:
section on page 6 need to be revised for Parcels 1 and 2 to read Dble. Amt. Lines and
Disposal area instead of the listed Dble. Amt. Lines/pits.
*ka
Walter E. Curtis
Civil Engineer
C.E. # 11584
