We recommend that any future
septic system layout follow the method prescribed in the Sewage Standards(1996) of the EHD.
We do not foresee any adverse conditions.
- 7.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, a satisfactory percolation rate was achieved on both new parcels. No ground water
was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property, and the depth to ground water is
approximately 130-140 feet below the ground surface for the period of Fall 1998 and Spring
1999. The on-site water well was tested for nitrate and DBCP. DBCP was non-detectable, and
nitrate was found at 5.51 mg/L-NO3, well below the maximum contaminant limit of 45 mg/L-
NO3.
` Based on the results of this study, our office has found the soils to be suitable for a standard
septic system with leach lines and seepage pits for the Site.
6-
We believe that due to the large proposed parcel sizes and fine-grained soils, the use of the
conventional septic systems on the property will not negatively impact the ground water quality
` of the area. We recommend that the design and installation of the septic system follow the
requirements established by the EHD.
OFR50
v h
 R
Z
O A
