Per Rodney Estrada, Acting Program
Coordinator, the EHD is requiring submittal of plans that will depict a closed loop system for the winery
waste water collection and storage. The plan should include a sump with an above ground holding
tank. The sole use of the system shall be for processed winery waste water only and should not include
any waste water from truck-washing activity. Please see the copy of the City of Lodi Winery Wastewater
Discharge Permit Number 456. A copy is available if you do not have one in your possession. Part 6 on
Page #3, specifically states that the City of Lodi will not accept any waste whose origin is a sand/oil
interceptor nor will they accept any waste deemed hazardous by Federal, State, or Local regulatlons. A
fee for the review of the plans is warranted. If you should have any questions please call.
Lisa Medina, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E.
