Concerning the Item of"feed spillage", I wi 1 do exactly as you did suggest. I
will stoto it in container and feed later to the chicken i te raise for personal use .
In the letter to Mr. Robert McClellon I fid not mention it because we are
very poor company, therefore we try to make t wooden dowel feeder that keep
pigeons out of their feed. These feeders are approximately 5-1/2 inchs wide, 8
inches tall, and vary in length. We place them in the loft in a position that
pigeons cannot spill or soil the feed.
We do not allow uneaten food to remain on tht floor of the loft, because wet,
moldy feed may make the birds sick. Moreover, we fe d the bird only within 20 to 30
mimutes in the morning and the evening. A fat ovcrfei I pigeon is a"lazy"bird and may
produce infertile eggs.
2.. Concerning the spraying chemicals, I went to every stores that sell different
spraying chemicals, I could not find any of them that i s not toxic, so I went to see my
former employer Dr. Wayne S. Moore(Moore Consulting. 1206 Brighton Ave. Albany,
CA.94706), an entomologist,to seek information. He aid everything that kill are
somewhat toxic. He lend me the book of William Oc wski, Sheila Daar, and Helga
Ockowski, Common-Sense Pest Control, and advise r ie to try UC IPM. Online. I got a
lot of information from different Universities and prh ate companies such as Universities
of Florida- Extention, University of Georgia- Coasta Plain Experimental Station, Ohio
State University- Extention, Texas Agricultural Exte ation Service, U.0 Davis ...
Ecohem Insectery, Rincon-Vitova Insectaries...
All information about spraying chemicals I go from the literature are somewhat
not only toxic but also not always effective. A single esticidal product rarely gives the
