'-,-' — <br /> The loft is a component of three rows of pens. Each pen has an outside fly-pen. ' <br /> f-`- The loft is built to keep pigeons inside and instruders out. In front of each nest in the compartment must have a perch to keep the WW <br /> i, pigeon out of the nest, all droppings will be on the floor and clean up twice a week. <br /> Droppings will be stored in the manure house with cement floor and brick wall 24 <br /> inches h h. Above the wall is a e of metal meshed fabric designed to prevent the a u< <br /> g type � <br /> intrusion of flies. <br /> Inside of the manure house is divided into compartments. The droppings mixing <br /> with"greens"such as leaves, grass, weeds ...and "browns" such as dry leaves, dry grass <br /> " "�`" and used straw from the nest will allows oxygene flow freely. All materials will <br /> r<•,. decompose more quickly and odors are reduced or even go away. <br /> Depending on the weather, from few to several weeks, the droppings mixed with <br /> the greens and the browns will become organic compost and can be used as fertilizer in <br /> the 3 acres vegetable garden in front of the loft. <br /> Solid waste (Refuge and Dead Animal) Management. <br /> - Dumpster or dumpsters will be emptied weekly by Stockton Scavengers Assoc. <br /> Inc. <br /> According to our experiences, if the loft is clean, and the pigeons are treated <br /> kindly we did not have any dead bird in our former facilities, however, we do not know <br /> anything yet of the condition c,f the air and the soil contaminated of many kinds of any <br />
