February 41 2005
NOA Project Number: E040142A
_ percolation tests are summarized in Table 8.
Table 8.
Summa of Percolation Tests.
Test No., Percolation Percolation Rate Test Comment
Date Tested Test Depth(ft) (minutes/inch) Duration (see notes)
P-1 shallow,1-24-05
3.00 2.19 1-hr Satisfactory percolation tate
(Parcel 1)
P-2 shallow,144-05 3.05 2.78 1-hr. Satisfactory percolation rate
` (Parcel 2)
P-3 shallow,1-12-05 3.03 1.74 1-hr. Satisfactory percolation rate
(Parcel 3)
P4 shallow,1-12-05 3.10 6.94 1-ht. Satisfactory percolation rate
Parcel 4
Note: A satisfactory percolation rate for a "shallow" test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per
inch.
A satisfactory percolation rate for a"deep" test is less than or equal to 30 minutes per inch.
6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
Am The soils within the sewage disposal areas of the proposed Parcels 1, 2, 3 and 4 have demonstrated a
satisfactory percolation rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD. The soils of these
parcels appear to be suitable for a standard septic system utilizing leach lines.
L
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
L Septic system construction should follow the San Joaquin County On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Standards where applicable.
L
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
LIn summary, satisfactory percolation rates of the soil were achieved in the proposed septic disposal
areas of all of the parcels. The proposed Parcels 1,2, 3 and 4 appear suitable for a standard septic
system.
L
No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property. The on-site water
well was tested for nitrate and DBCP. DBCP was non-detectable,and nitrate concentration in
`., ground water was found to be 38.9 mg/L NO3,which is below the maximum contaminant drinking
water limit of 45 mg/L-NO3.
I
10
Y.
►.
